On June 4, 2016, Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve held a meeting to celebrate the World Environment Day 2016. Attending the meeting, there are over 200 members from 10 adult Green Clubs and local residents of Hamlet 5, Ma Da commune.

This year’s theme of world environment day celebration is “fight against the illegal trade in wildlife for life” focusing on save the life of wild animals. This year’s slogan is “Go Wild for Life” to raise the voice against wildlife crime and damages caused by it and take actions to prevent it.

World Environment Day is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment.  It is a big celebration, engaging millions across the globe through events on the ground in over 150 countries and territories.

Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the director board, forest ranger division and the consensus of local residents and government as well as the dedication of the workforce in the reserve, we have gradually made good forest management and protection at Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve in recent times.

After the meeting, all participants cleaned up the local road from Ba Hao to the Headquarter for Eastern Region Party Committee relic. On the occasion, Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve has cooperated with HCMC Open Group to give 150 presents for poor students in Phu Ly commune and Ma Da commune (200,000 VND per present).
